Avocados are incredibly nutritious, loaded with vitamin K, folate, vitamin C, vitamin E, potassium, and healthy fats. Of course, they taste great too, that’s why we love them in guacamole, on sandwiches, on salads, and in wraps. But while avocados are a yummy addition to your diet, they’re also wonderful for your skin. Their healthy fats and vitamin E are great for smoothing your skin and treating dryness. In fact, vitamin E is an excellent ingredient to look for in your favourite topical creams because it reduces inflammation and rejuvenates aging skin.

If you want to add avocado to your beauty routine, pamper yourself with this DIY avocado mask. It’s made with super healthy ingredients and each one has a specific purpose.

  • Avocados contain natural oils that moisturize the skin and can help treat dry skin.
  • Apple cider vinegar helps to smooth skin and reduce inflammation.
  • Honey brightens the skin.
  • Oatmeal works to exfoliate your skin removing dead skin cells that make you look older.
  • Lemon juice or extract can help brighten your skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
