It’s important to protect your skin
from sun damage 365 days a year. No matter whether the sun is shining or it’s hiding behind the clouds, its rays can damage your skin. Even if it’s the winter, or the beginning of spring, the sun can do damage. Whether you’re out for a run or enjoying an afternoon picnic, take steps to protect your skin. 1. Use a daily SPF face lotion.
Your daily SPF face lotion protects your skin during those short outdoor spurts like when you’re walking to your car or taking the dog out for a quick walk. Putting SPF face lotion on every morning before you start your day means you’ll have protection for around 15 minutes at a time. 2. Cover up.
If you’re headed outside for any period of time, especially during the prime sun hours between 10 am and 4 pm, make sure you’re wearing a hat and sunglasses. Wear a long-sleeved cover over your bathing suit as well. Babies and children especially should wear rash guards that have SPF protection built into their clothing. 3. Lather up.
When you’re out in the sun for longer than a few minutes at a time, especially during prime sun hours, make sure that you lather up with broad spectrum UVA/UVB sun protection. Wear an SPF of 30 or more and reapply every two hours. 4. Treat sun damage.
Don’t forget to treat the sun damage that you already have with Zax’s Original Darkspot Cream
to fade dark spots caused by prior sun damage. Keep your skin looking its best by protecting it from the sun each and every day. Sara Novak is a Natural Health Care Expert for Zax Health. Follow her on Twitter at @sarafnovak.
